viα congenitaldisease: On May 4, 1932, a 32-year-old prostitute called Lilly Lindeström was murdered in her apartment in the Atlas area of Stockholm. She was killed by blunt force trauma to the head and was not discovered until 2 or 3 days later. She was found completely naked and face down on the bed. She had also been raped. A gravy ladle was found near her body with blood in it. After further inspection, it was seen that her body had been drained of blood, clearly having been poured into the gravy ladle and drank by the perpetrator. The perpetrator became known as the Atlas Vampire and has never been caught.
The Atlas Vampire is the nickname given to the unknown assailant who committed the unsolved “Vampire Murder” (also known as the Vampire Murder Case) in Stockholm, Sweden in 1932.
